Our Mission Statement:
Architects and Planners of Boulder (APOB) is a professional organization dedicated to the improvement of Boulder's physical environment through education, advocacy, alliance building, and information sharing.
- Serve as a credible, collegial and reliable professional design resource to City and County staff, public officials and the community, as well as to individual APOB members.
- Assist the City of Boulder staff and public officials in crafting regulations and procedures in which simplicity, common sense and good design are enabled and encouraged.
- Complement regional design organizations (such as AIA, APA and ASLA) by picking up where they leave off with minimal bureaucracy.
- Study, reach consensus, and adopt formal positions on local issues.
- Represent APOB at public hearings involving policy, land use and design issues.
- Promote and support public service activities by APOB members.
- Establish a strong communication network between all members of the design community.
- Facilitate a vibrant social forum for design professionals and encourage the open exchange of ideas.
